LEADERSHIP
Nathan Simbeck

[He/Him/His]
President
Nathan has participated in Stonewall Sports for over a decade. Joining the league gave him a community he never thought possible, which inspired him to get involved with the board. He began that journey serving as our Wellness Director, where he inspired others to move their body with intention while they built and harbored community. He carries that mission forward in his current role as President.
When Nathan isn't at his day job or working on his Stonewall duties, he also enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, and doing whatever he can to spend more time in nature.
George has been with Stonewall Sports Columbus since Winter of 2025 and was pretty immediately inspired to make a difference and become more involved with the organization. He joined the Board of Directors in early 2026, utilizing his experience with strategy and execution for a major financial institution to guide him in his role as Finance Director.
In his free time, George enjoys traveling, hiking, biking, trying new restaurants, and watching the real housewives (don’t we all ;)).

Matthew Graves

[He/Him/His]
Sponsorship Director
Matt has been with Stonewall Sports in some capacity since 2017, starting first in our sister city of Cleveland before making the move to Columbus in 2023. He was inspired to join the board when he realized how impactful it was to be able to show up in a sports setting, which is frequently not the most welcoming to queer folks, and to be able to be his true authentic self. Matt wants to continue to help others see themselves represented in sports, and help them find community.
When he isn’t working his day job or volunteering with Stonewall Sports Columbus, Matt enjoys playing drums and piano, as well as trivia - especially when he's allowed to put his self-described ‘useless’ pop culture knowledge to work.
Garrett Bingaman

[He/Him/His]
Events Director
Garrett has been with Stonewall Sports Columbus since 2018 following his move to Columbus. When he joined us, Garrett spent a while captaining his own teams, and the positive, welcoming experience is what made him want to join the board. His mission on the board is to help people have the same type of experience that he had, which makes him a perfect fit for our Events Director!
His day job is in UX/UI design, and when he isn’t working or volunteering with us, Garrett runs his own vegetarian foodie Instagram account and has a blast doing it!
Brian joined Stonewall Sports Columbus during the 2025 Spring kickball season and quickly found his stride (pun intended). The culture in which he grew up had little to no tolerance for LGBTQIA+ individuals, and it is this that his passion for serving the LGBTQIA+ community stems from. Brian’s hope as he serves as our DEIAB Director is that he can contribute positively and meaningfully to our community, while also continuing to grow and foster connections ane make lifelong friends.
In his spare time, Brian enjoys watching sitcoms, solo traveling, cooking, walking, singing, playing the piano, dancing, and (most importantly) coffee!

Diversity, Equity Inclusion and Belonging Director
Tricia Mayes

[she/her/hers]
Communications Director
Tricia has been with Stonewall Sports Columbus since 2021 and has played various sports throughout her time with us. She joined the board because her time with Stonewall Sports and being around so much queer joy is what finally gave her the courage to begin living as her true, authentic self, and she wants to serve those that helped her in her journey and continue to grow our community. Tricia joined the board in early 2025, serving first as our Director of Community Engagement before making the transition to Communications Director mid-2026.
Some of Tricia's favorite hobbies include running, swimming, being active, crocheting, and reading (ask her about what books she's read recently - trust us, she'll love it).
Jason has been with Stonewall Sports Columbus for quite some time, and has also served in various roles on the board. He first began his journey as a Member-At-Large, where he represented the needs of the players and actively advocated for the mission that Stonewall Sports carries with us. Jason made the move to Director of Community Engagement in mid-2026, and brings with him a passion to ensure that those within the league feel seen, heard, and that we continue to always keep in mind the reason we carry the name 'Stonewall'.

Joseph Strausser

[he/him/his]
Communications Director
Joe has been with Stonewall Sports Columbus around 2023 where he began playing his favorite sport, dodgeball! Because of the community fostered by the league, Joe was inspired and joined the board. He served as Sports Director supporting court sports before making the transition to Operations Director in Mid 2026. He is excited to continue to build community, improve operations, and continue to make a positive impact.
Kaleigh Timko

[She/Her/Hers]
Secretary
Kaleigh was with Stonewall Sports Columbus for about a year prior to joining the board mid-2026 as our Secretary. She comes to us wanting to form a deeper connection with the community at large, and is approaching her position with a drive to make a difference.
In her spare time, Kaleigh enjoys reading, hanging with her four cats, and watching the Cleveland Browns!
